We've changed our name, to better reflect our focus

The climate has been changing and so have we.

Over the last few years, we’ve been focusing more on helping our customers reduce their carbon emissions, while still maintaining our energy management services. It’s become clear that our business name needs to change to reflect this and it’s why we are pleased to announce that as of today – 1st November – our company will be trading as Carbon EMS (Carbon and Energy Management Services).

This new name also reflects the increasing urgency – nationally and globally – of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the transition of the Energy Management Association of New Zealand (EMANZ) to the Carbon and Energy Professionals (CEP), the soon to be in law Zero Carbon Act and establishment of the Climate Change Commission.

We also believe we – and our customers and suppliers – have a role to play in New Zealand meeting the Paris Agreement nationally determined contributions (NDC) of absolute greenhouse gas reduction targets of 30% by 2030 and 50% by 2050.

Besides a new name, you won’t notice any immediate changes to our services. But over the next year, we look forward to launching a new and improved version of our e-Bench® SAAS and new categories for tracking and reporting the impacts of reducing emissions in our e-Calc™ SAAS, including the sequestration of carbon.
